ANNOUNCEMENT- FutureWave!

BIG NEWS

We had a huge AH-HA a month or so ago. One day driving home from a meeting, I received a call from Wendy White. After a moment of silence, she said "I have an idea". Now, when Wendy calls and says this, I pull over! Literally! So, when I was safely at the side of the road, in park, I replied with... ok I am ready. She said, "we aren't thinking...big enough!". In no time,
FutureWave had been formed and Project Green Dreams was the critcal addition in a series of four programs.

PROJECT GREEN DREAMS

THE FUTUREWAVE COLLABORATORY WAS BORN!
We think the best learning is happening on the fringe or next wave and that is where our curiousity is leading us. We are a team of Organizational Consultants, visual thinkers, experiential teachers, gifted story tellers, intuitive film makers and social networkers. We have countless years of experience in the boardroom, on rivers, in hotel conference rooms and in community spaces working with groups on all sorts of interesting projects. We get juiced up by all of the possibility out there and we are committed to finding ways to' make it accessible. This is what we are called to do right now. Our team has joined because we share the need to explore, learn and understand our new emerging environment. If you share our desire to MAKE GOOD, then help us make more of it. Get a hold of us right away!

So, Project Green Dreams is alive and well! We specialize in the "people side" of sustainability. The power of engagement and a process designed to ask folks to make sustainable decisions based on what they care about. By starting here, a muscle is formed, and as sustainable business efforts deepen in the organization, you have the buy-in of the employees, because they care! We have had great success starting the sustainability conversation at the heart of the matter rather than figure out ways for employees to adapt to a preconcieved initiative.
Visit FutureWave and then give us a call! Find out more about our FREE ONE HOUR POSSIBILITY JAM!. 2 members of the FutureWave Collaboratory will brainstorm for one hour on any issue you present! It is a double whammy innovation session. Our clients are blown away by the sheer number of ideas we can process in one hour! Take advantage of it now!

Upcoming Projects

Denver is really starting to buzz over the Democratic National Convention. It is an amazing point in history here! Our offices are incredibly close to the hub of activity. We are all wondering if we will be working from home since most of the roads will be closed due to protests. Stay tuned and we will report!

Our upcoming projects are very exciting!

Next week Joseph Coplans and Janine Underhill will be assisting the sales team of American Web in "unpacking" FSC and it's implications and benefits to their business. Like so many true leaders, owner Clark Fine made a significant investment to certify his organization before it was the "green" thing to do, he did it because it made good business sense and was the right thing to do. We are inspired to work with him and we deeply respect his leadership.

Next week, Janine will working at the Lean and Green Summit in Boulder Colorado.
Summit Outcomes- Two outcomes are expected to come from the Summit: The collective group will create a new body of knowledge in addressing issues of sustainability. Participants will leave with an actionable plan for moving their companies along the road to sustainability. Through visual language, Janine will represent the new collective body of knowledge and the action plans created by the group. We will be partnering with with Susan Skjev of Sane Systems and the Lean and Green convening team.

The intent of the summit is to bring to light the deep connections between lean and green, with both seeking to reduce waste. Explore how the proven business strategy of lean (a strategy already at work in your company) can naturally be applied to issues of sustainability.

LOHAS July

We have just returned from the LOHAS conference-June 18-21st, Boulder, CO http://www.lohas.com/forum/

Idea360 http://idea-360.com was asked to graphically record the key note and general sessions. The intent is to capture the essence of the discussion and the specific points, statements, and agreements in a graphic format. I use felt markers and large sheets of butcher paper. The output of each session are large, illustrated maps that you can use to unpack the conversation at a later time. This visual method is a powerful tool that assists learning and communication between groups and individuals. All of the maps will be made available to all of the participant via the LOHAS and Idea360 websites. We are also creating a "Learning Report" that will pair right brain memory and high level learnings from almost all of the breakout sessions. The intent of this document supports systems thinking because people’s sense of how elements relate comes from displaying distinctions in form or framework. We hope to provide a tool that encourages the juicy conversations at the conference are carried back to the office. Too many times learnings from gatherings of this magnatude dimish over time- we hope to make the invisible- VISIBLE!

We were also able to launch our new venture
PROJECT GREEN DREAMS! http://projectgreendreams.com
